KIDS! extols the spirit of children and features sculptures of a boy and a girl as action figures placed on top of 35’ high existing pillars.

The urban intervention celebrates the heart and soul of the school: the KIDS! And, transforms the school courtyard into a kind of square for the neighborhood.

The project performs as a social sculpture, acting as a bridge between school and neighbors, kids and adults, the kids present and everyone’s past. It is also a kind of psychological self-portrait of Rosario & Roberto as kids and action figures.

Unlike the commemorative columns of the past, this project celebrates the possibilities of the future rather than the achievements of the past. No emperor, or saint on top, only KIDS!
